Introduction
Strategic leadership is about the strategic activity of a leader. Strategic choice reflects the values and preferences of those who make and assent to the strategy if it is to work and be implemented. EVS understands the relationship between values and strategy and how it relates to individual, team and organisational development.
Based on our research, in order to play, leaders have to get the 'hard' factor of strategy right, but to win; leaders have to get the 'harder' factor of people's values right. Values alignment with organisational goals has a significant impact on performance. And it's difficult. But executing strategy means achieving desired ends through people, so it's crucial.
